Needle - axial cylindrical roller bearings

Needle axial cylindrical roller bearings have no inner ring and are therefore particularly space-saving radially. However, they assume that the raceway on the shaft is hardened and ground. The needle thrust cylindrical roller bearings NKXR and NKXR..-Z have a roller and cage assembly with a plastic cage as an axial part. NKXR..-Z also has a cap on the axial part. The needle thrust cylindrical roller bearings can absorb axial loads in one direction and thus guide the shaft in one direction. To support short shafts, where changes in length due to temperature are excluded during operation, two bearings can also be used, which are arranged mirror-inverted to each other. In such cases, it is advisable to elastically preload the axial bearing parts using disk springs. The elastic preload serves to ensure slip-free and low-noise operation of the unloaded axial bearing part. The elastic preload also improves the operating behavior of the axial bearing and minimizes running noise. Needle thrust cylindrical roller bearings of the NKXR series are a combination of a radial needle roller bearing and a thrust cylindrical roller bearing of the 811 series. These needle thrust cylindrical roller bearings are supplied without an inner ring. For installation cases where the shaft cannot be hardened and ground, the inner rings listed in the product table for the respective bearing can be used, which must be ordered separately. NKXR series bearings are not self-retaining. The needle bearing with integrated housing washer, the axial cylindrical roller and cage assembly and the shaft washer can be installed separately. These bearings should primarily be used with oil lubrication, since the lubricating grease can only be retained insufficiently in the axial bearing part. The outer ring has a lubricating groove and lubricating holes for lubrication. NKXR is lubricated with oil. Grease lubrication is provided for NKXR..-Z. The axial part is greased with a lithium complex soap grease according to GA08. The top cap has no lubrication holes.
