Axial deep groove ball bearings consist of shaft washers, housing washers and ball and cage assemblies. The bearings are not self-retaining; This means that the ball race and bearing washers can be installed independently of one another. In addition to series with flat washers, there are series with spherical housing washers to compensate for static angle errors. Axial deep groove ball bearings are available on one side and two sides. Both versions absorb high axial forces, but must not be subjected to radial loads. Unidirectional deep groove ball bearings absorb axial forces from one direction. Bearings in the 511, 512, 513 and 514 series have a flat housing washer. They allow neither angle errors nor misalignment between the shaft and the housing. Angular adjustability of the single direction axial deep groove ball bearings, bearings in the 532 and 533 series have a spherical housing washer. With an appropriate housing design and in connection with the washers U2 and U3, they are angularly movable and thus tolerate static misalignments of the shaft in relation to the housing. Double direction axial deep groove ball bearings absorb axial forces from both directions. Bearings in the 522 and 523 series have two flat housing washers and are not self-aligning. Angular adjustability of double direction axial deep groove ball bearings: Bearings in the 542 and 543 series have spherical housing washers. With an appropriate housing design and in connection with the washers U2 and U3, they are angularly movable and thus tolerate static misalignments of the shaft in relation to the housing. Thrust ball bearings can be used at operating temperatures from -30°C to +150°C, limited by the lubricant. Solid brass window cages are identified by the suffix MP. Shaft tolerance j6 should be selected for single direction bearings and with shaft tolerance for double direction bearings. The tolerance of the mounting hole depends on the desired running accuracy. For normal running accuracy, the tolerance should be in tolerance zone E8, for high running accuracy in tolerance zone H6. The dimensional and running tolerance correspond to the tolerance class PN according to DIN620-3.
