Sealing rings are designed as contact seals. They protect the bearing point from contamination, splashing water and excessive loss of lubricating grease. Gaskets come in many different variations. With us you will find a large selection of sealing rings, felt seals and labyrinth seals. All important information can be found on the category subpages and in our encyclopedia or simply send us an inquiry and we will give you competent advice. Sealing rings G and GR are single-lip (single-lip sealing ring) and made of synthetic NBR elastomer. The GR version is standard for shaft diameters up to 7 mm and has external steel reinforcement for reinforcement. Sealing rings G are for shaft diameters over 8 mm and have a rubber-coated steel reinforcement with a rubber corrugated profile for reinforcement. This results in a good seal on the outside diameter. At the same time, the press-in forces are reduced. Sealing rings SD (double-lip sealing rings) have a touching lip and a dust lip that is not touching the shaft (labeled side). They consist of two plastic components. The seal carrier is made of reinforced polyamide, the sealing lip area is made of thermoplastic PU elastomer. Sealing rings SD can also be used as wipers on axially moving shafts. Lifting speeds of up to 3 m/s are possible, depending on the nature of the shaft. The permissible operating temperature for the respective sealing ring depends on the interaction between the medium, the temperature and its effect on the sealing ring material. In the limit areas, the usability of the sealing rings must be checked by tests. Sealing rings G and GR are suitable for operating temperatures from -30 °C to +110 °C, depending on the medium that affects the sealing ring! Sealing rings SD are suitable for operating temperatures from -30 °C to +100 °C, depending on the medium that affects the sealing ring!
