Cam rollers

Cam rollers have the same structure as single and double-row support rollers, but have a solid roller pivot with fastening thread and lubrication hole as a raceway. Due to the thick-walled outer ring with a profiled lateral surface and the rolling element set, they absorb high radial loads and axial loads from minor misalignments and skewing and are suitable, for example, for cam gears, guideways and conveyor systems. Cam rollers without an eccentric cannot be adjusted to the track of the adjacent construction in a defined manner during assembly. KR, KR..-PP have a cage, the KRV..-PP version has full needles. The NUKR and PWKR..-2RS series are full complement. Cam followers without a cage have the highest possible number of rolling elements and are therefore particularly load-bearing. However, due to the kinematic conditions, the speeds that can be achieved here are somewhat lower than with cage-guided cam rollers. With KR, KR..-PP and KRV..-PP, the axial guidance is provided by a thrust collar and thrust washers. The outer rings of the NUKR and PWKR..-2RS series are guided over the rolling elements and ribs. Corrosion protection of the cam rollers: PWKR..-2RS-RR are protected against rust by the special coating Corrotect®. Cam rollers are sealed on both sides. The KR series has gap seals, KR..-PP a three-stage seal using plastic axial plain washers with molded sealing lips on both sides of the bearing, NUKR labyrinth seals and PWKR..-2RS protected lip seals. The bearings are greased with a lithium complex soap grease according to GA08 and can be lubricated via the roller pivot. Arcanol LOAD150 is suitable for relubrication. Versions with an eccentric can be adjusted using a hexagon socket on the collar or thread side of the roller pivot. The outer ring lateral surface can thus be placed against the raceway; as a result, coarser manufacturing tolerances of the adjacent construction are possible. In addition, the load distribution is better when using several cam rollers and it is easy to implement preloaded linear systems. The highest point of the eccentric ring is marked on the roll neck side, the eccentricity e is given in the dimension tables. This is also where the radial relubrication holes are located, which should be in the unloaded zone of the rolling contact. KRE..-PP have one cage, NUKRE and PWKRE..-2RS have full complements. Bearings without a cage have the highest possible number of rolling elements and are therefore particularly load-bearing. However, due to the kinematic conditions, the speeds that can be achieved here are somewhat lower than with cage-guided cam rollers. In the KRE..-PP series, axial guidance is provided by a thrust collar and thrust washers. The outer rings of the NUKRE and PWKRE..-2RS series are guided axially via the rolling elements and flanges. The cam rollers are sealed on both sides. KRE..-PP has a three-stage seal with plastic axial plain washers with molded sealing lips on both sides of the bearing, NUKRE labyrinth seals and PWKRE..-2RS protected lip seals. Lubrication of the cam rollers: the bearings are greased with a lithium complex soap grease according to GA08 and can be lubricated via the roller journal. Arcanol is suitable for relubrication. The eccentric ring covers the radial lubrication hole of the shank! Therefore, it must be relubricated via the front sides! Cam rollers can be used from -30 °C to +140 °C. For sealed bearings (2RS), the temperature range is limited to -30 °C to +120 °C. Cam followers KR..-PP, KRV..-PP and KRE..-PP are suitable for operating temperatures from -30 °C to +100 °C, limited by the lubricating grease and the sealing material!
