Housings and the associated bearings form bearing units that have proven themselves in machines, systems and devices. Bearing housings are mainly made of gray cast iron. We supply housings made of cast steel and nodular cast iron on request. Since the bearings are usually lubricated with grease and the initial filling lasts a long time, most housings do not have any relubrication holes. However, sprues or markings are provided so that lubrication holes can be made if necessary. When relubricating, make sure that excess grease can escape. The bearing seats in the housing are usually machined in such a way that the bearings can be moved, i.e. act as floating bearings. Fixed bearings are obtained by inserting locating rings if these are listed in the tables. Locating rings must be ordered separately. Housings without locating rings are supplied in floating bearing design or fixed bearing design. All external surfaces of the housing and housing parts that are not machined are provided with a universal coating. Our range includes locating rings from the premium manufacturer FAG. The coating can be painted over with all synthetic resin, polyurethane, acrylic, epoxy resin, chlorinated rubber, nitro and acid-hardening hammer finish paints. The corrosion protection of the machined inner and outer surfaces can be easily removed. Depending on the operating conditions, contact seals, non-contact seals and combinations of these are available for sealing the bearing housing, see schematic drawings. The high degree of dimensional and planning accuracy as well as an all-round edge radius guarantee the smooth installation of our products.
