Tapered roller bearings consist of solid outer and inner rings with tapered raceways and tapered rollers in a window cage. The bearings are available as: standard design, open variant matched in pairs, integral design JK0S sealed on one side. Open bearings are not self-retaining. This allows the inner ring with the rollers and the cage to be installed separately from the outer ring. Metric dimensions and inch dimensions are available. Versions with a K in the abbreviation are in inches. However, metric dimensions should always be preferred for new designs. Roller bearings in the T7FC series are supplied in the X-life design. These bearings have improved surfaces, a more efficient combination of material and heat treatment, and optimized contact geometry. This improves the friction behavior and increases the dynamic load rating. With the same operating conditions, a significant increase in the nominal service life is achieved. For certain applications, the bearing can be dimensioned smaller. Tapered roller bearings absorb high radial and one-sided axial loads. A second bearing is normally required for axial counter-guidance, which is then arranged in a mirror-inverted manner. The axial load capacity depends on the contact angle; that is, the larger the angle, the higher the axial load that the bearing can bear. The size of the contact angle and thus the load capacity is identified by the bearing-dependent value e in the dimension tables. Bearings in the 313, 323..-B, T5ED and T7FC series can withstand very high axial loads due to their particularly large contact angle. The modified line contact between the tapered rollers and raceways ensures optimal stress distribution at the contact points, prevents edge stress and enables the bearings to be angularly adjustable. At the load ratio P/Cr ? 0.2, the tilting of the bearing rings to each other may not exceed 4 arc minutes. For larger loads or tilting, please contact us. Standard and matched tapered roller bearings are not sealed. Integral tapered roller bearings JK0S have a lip seal on one side. Standard and matched tapered roller bearings can be lubricated with oil or grease. Integral tapered roller bearings JK0S are filled with quality grease. Integral tapered roller bearings: JK0S series roller bearings are sealed on one side and ready to install, which are mainly installed in pairs in an O arrangement. They cannot be dismantled and do not need to be re-greased. Tapered roller bearings do not require adjustment of the axial clearance: the axial clearance of the pair of bearings does not have to be adjusted. It results from the very close tolerance of the overhang (dimension u) between the inner and outer ring when the inner rings are clamped with a shaft nut or shaft end cap. The inner and outer rings are given a tight fit so that the correct axial clearance is set after installation. In the case of integral tapered roller bearings installed in pairs in an O arrangement, the suitable groove for the snap ring BR is formed on the outer ring. The snap ring must be ordered separately. Open tapered roller bearings can be used at operating temperatures from -30 °C to +120 °C. For continuous operating temperatures above +120 °C, please contact us. Bearings with lip seals can be used at operating temperatures from -30 °C to +110 °C, limited by the grease and the sealing ring material. Open tapered roller bearings have cages made from sheet steel. In the case of integral bearings JK0S, the cages are made of glass-fibre reinforced polyamide 66.
