Important names for ball bearings and accessories
- 2RSR means the bearing (FAG, NKE, INA) is filled with grease and is usually maintenance-free. Use when splash water or moisture cannot be excluded. The seals are made of elastomer materials (NBR), usually reinforced with a sheet steel washer.
- C3 describes that the radial internal clearance is larger than normal, many types are available in the C3 variant.

Radial needle bearings
Radial needle roller bearings are single or double row units consisting of machined outer rings, needle roller and cage assemblies and removable inner rings. The NA49..-RSR series is sealed on one side. Radial needle roller bearings in the NA49..-2RSR design have rubbing seals on both sides. Operating temperature of the radial needle roller bearings: open bearings can be used at operating temperatures from -20 °C to +120 °C. Sealed needle roller bearings are suitable for operating temperatures from -20 °C to +100 °C, limited by the lubricating grease and the sealing material! The cages are made of sheet steel or plastic.
