Important names for ball bearings and accessories
- E stands for optimized internal construction for higher load-bearing capacity of the 213, 222 and 223 series: two window cages made of sheet steel, a rimless inner ring and a loose guide ring. Circumferential groove and three lubrication holes in the outer ring, d = 65 mm: guide ring centered on the inner ring, d> 65 mm: guide ring centered on the cages.
- The suffix E1 describes cylindrical roller bearings (FAG) in a modern, optimized design. In particular, the inner ring and the cylindrical rollers have been modified.

Radial deep groove ball bearings
Single-row deep groove ball bearings are self-retaining units that belong to the group of radial ball bearings. The solid outer and inner rings have deep running grooves, the shoulders of which are usually not interrupted by filling grooves. Solid cages made of polyamide PA66 or brass or sheet metal cages made of steel are used as standard cages. Radial deep groove ball bearings are open or sealed. Open bearings, which are also available with seals, can have production-related indentations for sealing or cover disks on the outer and inner ring. Single-row deep groove ball bearings are particularly versatile, insensitive in operation, easy to maintain and very economical. Due to the great advantages, they are the most widely used rolling bearings in the world. That is why radial deep groove ball bearings are also available in a large number of sizes and designs. Single row deep groove ball bearings are available as an open version and sealed bearings (with cover and sealing washers).
