To protect bearings at shaft ends and to eliminate the risk of accidents caused by free shaft ends, end caps are available in the following versions for Y-bearing housings and Y-bearing units: ECY, ECW, ECL. Polypropylene (PP) end caps are resistant to most chemicals and withstand service temperatures up to 100°C (210°F). For assembly, the covers are snapped into the recess of the housing bore. Danger from rotating components. To avoid serious injury, do not install or remove the end cover until the shaft has stopped rotating and the machine has stopped, or after the shaft has been locked and will not rotate.
