Bearing housings

Housings and the associated bearings form bearing housings that have proven themselves in plants, machines and equipment. Cast housings are one-piece and have a high load carrying capacity. For relubrication of the radial insert ball bearings, the housing bore has a lubrication groove and the housing has a lubrication hole for commercially available tapered grease nipples to DIN 71412. On delivery, a plastic plug closes the bore in the housing. Since bearings are usually lubricated with grease and the initial filling lasts a long time, many housings do not have relubrication holes. The bearing seats in the housing are usually machined in such a way that the bearings are movable, i.e. act as floating bearings. Fixed bearings are obtained by inserting fixed rings, these must be ordered separately. Housings without fixed rings are supplied in floating bearing design or fixed bearing design. Bearing housings are mainly made of grey cast iron. We supply cast steel and spheroidal graphite iron housings on request. The units are ready for mounting and consist of INA cast iron or INA sheet steel housings in which INA radial insert ball bearings are integrated. To ensure function and safety under all operating conditions, bearings and housings are matched to each other. Due to the spherical outside surface of the bearing outer ring and the hollow spherical housing bore, one housing unit compensates for static shaft misalignments. The units are predominantly used as locating bearings. The housings are screw mounted to the adjacent construction. Finer tolerances are sufficient for the screw mounting surfaces.
