Important names for ball bearings and accessories
- The suffix N stands for: 1. Annular groove in the jacket of the outer ring, 2. For INA radial insert ball bearing housings: cast housing with groove recess for protective caps. Type N cylindrical roller bearings have two fixed ribs on the inner ring and an outer ring without ribs. They allow axial displacements in both directions between the shaft and the housing, i. Radial needle bearings
Radial needle roller bearings are single or double row units consisting of machined outer rings, needle roller and cage assemblies and removable inner rings. The NA49..-RSR series is sealed on one side. Radial needle roller bearings in the NA49..-2RSR design have rubbing seals on both sides. Operating temperature of the radial needle roller bearings: open bearings can be used at operating temperatures from -20 °C to +120 °C. Sealed needle roller bearings are suitable for operating temperatures from -20 °C to +100 °C, limited by the lubricating grease and the sealing material! The cages are made of sheet steel or plastic.
